Dips are fantastic picnic appetisers. They are easy to whip up, have no end of variations and can be hot or cold. There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to dips, which is what makes them fabulous picnic companions.
We often reach for our favourite, or seasonal dip as an appetiser served with crusty bread, crackers or raw veg sticks. Hoever, a good dip recipe can be so much more.
Other Ways to Use Dips for a Picnic
I love picnic dips such as hummus or baba ganoush as a sandwich or wrap spread. They also work well served as a side to grilled meats or added to burgers.
Add a dip with a bit of a spicy kick to any number of picnic-friendly Mexican dishes – Tortilla or picnic burrito with Salsa Roja, anyone?

The choice is yours.
