Recipe Variations and Substitutions
- Add a Hazelnut: To recreate the authentic Ferrero Raffaello Coconut Balls, pop a hazelnut in the center of each ball when you roll it.
- Coat with Chocolate: Add a drizzle of melted white chocolate for an extra luxe coating.
- Keto: Switch to Keto Maple syrup to make these low-carb and keto-friendly.
Recipe Tip
- Consistency: If your mix is too wet, add a little more almond flour or coconut. If it is too dry, add a bit more coconut milk. You will know how it feels after rolling a few balls.
- Storage: You can keep coconut balls in an airtight container in a cool place, but they are better when stored in the fridge. They will keep in the fridge for up to a week.
- Freezing: You can freeze these coconut balls. To prevent them from sticking together, flash freeze them first on a tray in a single layer. Then, keep them in a container or zip-lock bag for up to 3 months.
